Our Commitment To Sustainability
At Scosche we design our products to help people live, work, travel and enjoy their lives by staying connected, powered, entertained and safe. We seek to keep our planet safe, viable and vibrant. Inspired by our naturally beautiful location in coastal California, we’re committed to protect, preserve and celebrate the blessings of the earth through our people, processes and products.
We believe it is not only possible, but desirable, to conduct business in an ethical, legal, and thoughtful manner. From maintaining an ethical supply chain, reducing our carbon footprint, reducing e-waste, facilitating recycling, eliminating plastic packaging, and supporting global reforestation, Scosche strives to be a responsible, and kind, global citizen.

Product Lifecycle
Our home chargers, from 30W to 150W, are now made with 75% Post-Consumer Recycled Plastic
By reducing our use of raw plastics and increasing demand for recycled plastics, we hope to aid in the movement towards a circular economy by decreasing the amount of materials going in and out of our product lifespan as much as possible.
Packaging
Scosche is committed to actively removing plastic from our packaging. This includes removing PET-Blister trays and replacing them with paper inserts as well as making the packaging smaller altogether to reduce waste. This is seen in all packaging for newly developed Phone Mounts, Car Chargers, Home Chargers, Charging Cables, and Earbuds.
This switch is expected to divert up to 12 tons of PET plastic annually from the waste stream across all of our retailers.
End of Life Management
We operate an in-house product take-back and refurbishment program, converting B-stock items and reducing unnecessary waste. By using materials from products that can’t be shipped to consumers, we reduce our raw material consumption and reduce our emissions by 60 MT of CO2 annually.
To responsibly handle batteries at end of life, we participate in a battery stewardship program. We also provide our customers with information on how to properly dispose of batteries.

Waste Management
Scosche partners with Call2Recycle, a 3rd party e-waste collection and recycling organization with a large emphasis on responsible waste sorting.
Sorting Impact for 2023
99.79 tons of Cardboard sorted and recycle, equivalent to 138.5 metric tons of diverted CO2
1.17 tons of e-waste sorted and properly discarded or recycled, equivalent to 3 metric tons of diverted CO2
1.2 tons of Copper wire recycled, equivalent to 5.4 metric tons of diverted CO2
0.78 tons of Battery products sorted and properly discarded
ISO 14001
ISO 14001 is an international agreement that sets the requirements for an environmental management system.
Scosche is committed to lowering our impact across the world. This includes making sure our factories are taking the same steps towards sustainability that we are.
Through ISO 14001 we focus on using resources efficiently and minimizing waste systematically.
Renewable Energy
To responsibly power our main domestic facility, Scosche partners with Southern California Edison and Clean Power Alliance to obtain 100% of its electrical power only from renewable energy sources. The renewable energy we purchase is generated from 70% Solar power and 30% Wind power.
In 2023 we reached 100% renewable energy AND reduced energy consumption by almost 20%
Our Goal for 2025 is to have all of our domestic facilities run on 100% renewable energy, as well as have all our overseas factories purchase at least 20% of their electricity from renewable energy sources.
Reforestation and Greenhouse Gases (GHGs)
Eden Reforestation Projects
Eden Reforestation Projects works to restore landscapes around the world with the goal of protecting ecosystems, mitigating climate change, and creating jobs.
Our partnership with Eden aligns with Walmart’s new Deforestation Free Products policy. As part of Walmart’s initiative to become a regenerative company, this policy highlights the importance of sustainably sourcing materials without placing excess stress on the environment.
We limit the amount of GHGs we produce by using 100% renewable energy sources, but we want to do all we can to help fight against climate change, including fighting deforestation.
In 2023 our donations funded the planting of over 6,000 trees, that at maturity will absorb over 60 metric tons of CO2 each year.
In 2024 we plan to donate at least an additional 30,0000 trees, that at maturity will absorb over 300 metric tons of CO2 each year.

Project Gigaton
We work to aid Walmart in their goal to reduce or avoid one billion metric tons of greenhouse gases from the global value chain. For the past 6 years, we have used the Walmart Sustainability Hub to report our energy usage, CO2 emissions, packaging data, and waste management data.
In 2023 we not only reported Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions, but also our Scope 3 emissions, in order to see our full impact, and will continue to do so.
For the 3rd year in a row we have achieved Giga-Guru status
